Life Finds A Way: Use Both Eyes
Life Finds A Way: Use Both Eyes
When was the last time you stopped at a STOP sign and truly observed the sign. That extra large octagonal shape, the same interesting shade of red, and STOP always in capital letters. Or how many times have you found yourself pushing the gas pedal through a green light. Our lives are directed through signs and symbols, every step of the way, whether conscious or unconscious. For example, the color green (depending on the shade) can tell us to move forward, it can represent currency, it can evoke peace, and for some even envy or illness. With that said, if what we see has many facets and multi-purposes how does one decipher when to run or stand still?
I was taking an evening stroll a few nights ago and noticed something magnificent in the middle of the side-walk. A very small sapling was breaking through the cement looking for sunlight. And I realized, life will always find a way. Now imagine if you had never seen a tree break through concrete, would you believe someone when they told you it was possible? You see, signs and symbols may develop multiple messages over time but nature never changes its story. The patterns, meanings, and possibilities stay the same. Nature finds a way, it is the biggest green light you could ever imagine and much more.
There is an interesting symbol that has survived far longer than most, and it is the âOne Eyeâ. Some may say it represents Good and the Right path, some may say it represents the complete opposite. As a lover and dear student of ancient history I am not qualified to say what is and what is not, but I would like to propose a thought. The reason you are able to state what you think is ârightâ is based on the fact that you can see what you believe is âwrongâ, or left. If there was no left, how would you know you are on the right path or going the right way or doing the right thing. This leads me to the âOne Eyeâ symbol. We were born with two eyes, left and right, it gives us the beautiful ability to see both sides. It is a Gift. A human being is a symbol, a sign if you will, of duality, left and right, good and bad. And this observation of nature and life gives us an undeniable truth, Life Finds A Way, Use Both Eyes.
